Tarragon Chicken
Tarragon chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish with a creamy, herby sauce that makes every bite delicious. The fresh tarragon adds a unique, slightly sweet taste that pairs perfectly with tender chicken. This dish is easy to make in just 30 minutes, making it perfect for both busy weeknights and special occasions.
Ingredients :
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter optional, for extra richness
Directions :
- Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same pan, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in Dijon mustard and chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the pan.
- Add the Cream and Tarragon: Pour in the heavy cream and fresh tarragon. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine: Return the chicken to the pan and coat with the sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes until fully cooked.
- Serve & Enjoy: Remove from heat and serve warm with your favorite sides.
