Ingredients :

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili paste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Directions :

  1. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, chili paste, sugar, sesame oil, chicken broth, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.
