
Spinach Quiche
Spinach quiche is a delicious and versatile dish that’s perfect for any meal of the day. Ingredients :
- 1 pie crust store-bought or homemade
- 2 cups fresh spinach or 10 oz frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or feta
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg optional
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and blind-bake for 10 minutes (cover with parchment paper and pie weights).
- Heat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft, then add spinach and cook until wilted. Remove excess water and let cool.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk or cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in the cheese and spinach mixture.
- Pour the filling into the pre-baked crust, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set and golden brown on top.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
