
Slow Cooker Roast
Make a delicious and tender beef roast with potatoes and carrots in a slow cooker. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients :
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 pound chuck roast
- 1-2 teaspoons salt to taste
- 1-2 teaspoons black pepper to taste
- 1 pound baby potatoes
- 3 stalks celery chopped
- 3 carrots chopped
- 1 cup white onion diced
- 4 cloves garlic crushed
- 5 sprigs thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 ½ cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions :
- Heat the olive oil in a pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the roast with salt and pepper, then add it to the hot pan to sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Add the seared roast to the slow cooker along with the remaining slow cooker pot roast ingredients.
- Cover with a lid, and cook on low for 8 hours.
- Serve your slow cooker pot roast dinner with fresh cilantro, and enjoy
