Shrimp Carbonara

Easy shrimp carbonara with bacon, Parmesan, and creamy egg sauce. A rich, delicious pasta dinner ready in 30 minutes—perfect for weeknights or special meals!

Ingredients :

  • 12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup pasta water reserved
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Directions :

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Save ¼ cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a pan, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
  5. In the pan, add garlic and cooked pasta. Toss to heat through.
  6. Turn off the heat, quickly stir in the egg-cheese mixture. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.
  7. Add bacon and shrimp back in. Mix everything well.
  8. Season with salt, pepper, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
