
Shrimp Carbonara
Easy shrimp carbonara with bacon, Parmesan, and creamy egg sauce. A rich, delicious pasta dinner ready in 30 minutes—perfect for weeknights or special meals!
Ingredients :
- 12 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
- 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
- 4 slices bacon chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ¼ cup pasta water reserved
- Fresh parsley optional, for garnish
Directions :
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Save ¼ cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a pan, cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs and Parmesan cheese.
- In the pan, add garlic and cooked pasta. Toss to heat through.
- Turn off the heat, quickly stir in the egg-cheese mixture. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.
- Add bacon and shrimp back in. Mix everything well.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot.
