Sausage

These quick and easy sausage rolls are an excellent appetizer, snack, or party food that everyone will love.

Ingredients :

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 pounds sausage
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 package pastry dough

Directions :

  1. Heat a pan over medium-high heat, and add oil.
  2. Add chopped onion and saute for 2-3 minutes, until onions are softened and slightly opaque.
  3. Add the sauteed onions in a bowl with the sausage, 2 eggs, cheese, pepper, salt, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder and mix to combine.
  4. Roll the dough into a large rectangle, roughly ¼" - ½" thick. Trim the rough edges and cut the rectangle into two separate rectangles.
  5. Line each of the dough strips lengthwise with the sausage mixture.
  6. Brush the edges with beaten egg and roll the sausage in the dough.
  7. Cut each roll into ten pieces, place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and brush the tops with more egg wash.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes at 400F.
  9. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, and enjoy
