Imagine a cozy night in, surrounded by delightful aromas wafting from your kitchen, gently embracing every corner of your home. This is what a Salmon Sushi Bake offers - a warm, comforting, and utterly delicious escape from the ordinary! This delightful casserole melds the luscious, rich flavors of baked salmon with the beloved components of sushi.

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups sushi rice cooked
  • 1 lbsalmon cooked and flaked
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 5 sheets nori seaweed cut into strips for serving
  • ½ cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish optional
  • Additional soy sauce pickled ginger, and wasabi for serving

Directions :

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, and half of the soy sauce, stirring until evenly mixed.
  3. In a baking dish, evenly spread the cooked sushi rice as the first layer.
  4. Layer the salmon mixture over the rice evenly, and then sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.
  6. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with nori strips, additional soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
