Pork Schnitzel

Pork schnitzel is a simple, crispy, and delicious dish made with thin slices of pork coated in breadcrumbs and pan-fried until golden brown. It’s a popular comfort food that’s easy to make at home with just a few ingredients. The pork turns out juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, making it perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients :

  • 4 pork cutlets about ½ inch thick
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs regular or panko
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Directions :

  1. Place pork cutlets between plastic wrap and gently pound to even thickness.
  2. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat each pork cutlet first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally cover with breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry each schnitzel for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Transfer to a paper towel or wire rack to drain.
  8. Serve warm with lemon wedges and your favorite sides.
