Oven Pulled Pork

Oven pulled pork is a delicious and easy way to enjoy tender, flavorful meat without the need for a smoker. This recipe uses a slow-cooking method to transform pork shoulder into juicy, melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

Ingredients :

  • 4-5 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions :

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
  4. Place the pork in a roasting pan and pour the apple cider vinegar around it.
  5. Cover the pan with foil and roast in the oven for 4-5 hours, until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 190°F (88°C) and is tender.
  6. Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Shred the pork using two forks, discarding any excess fat.
  8. Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce.
  9. Serve hot.
