
Lobster Thermidor
Lobster Thermidor is a rich and creamy French seafood dish that feels luxurious but is easy to make at home. It features tender lobster meat cooked in a creamy, cheesy sauce with white wine, Dijon mustard, and butter.
Ingredients :
- 2 whole lobsters cooked and halved
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- ½ cup white wine
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ cup Gruyère cheese or Parmesan, grated
- 1 tablespoon flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon parsley for garnish
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Remove the lobster meat from the shells, chop it into bite-sized pieces, and set the shells aside.
- In a pan, melt butter over medium heat and sauté the onion until soft.
- Add flour and stir for 1 minute to create a light roux.
- Pour in the white wine and let it reduce slightly.
- Stir in the cream, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until thickened.
- Add the lobster meat to the sauce and mix well. Remove from heat.
- Spoon the lobster mixture back into the shells, top with grated cheese, and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
