Lemon Garlic Chicken

Lemon garlic chicken is a simple and flavorful dish that’s perfect for any meal. Juicy chicken breasts or thighs are marinated in fresh lemon juice, garlic, and herbs, then seared and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients :

  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or thyme
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Directions :

  1. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, and oregano to make the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Marinate for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours in the fridge.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish, pour the remaining marinade over it, and bake for 20–25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked (165°F/74°C).
  6. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
