Instant Short Ribs

Try this recipe for succulent and melt-in-your-mouth short ribs cooked in a rich bourbon-infused broth.

Ingredients :

  • 6 lb short ribs
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion sliced
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • thyme
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions :

  1. Wash the ribs, dry them and season with salt on both sides.
  2. Press "saute" and add olive oil.
  3. Add short ribs and saute on both sides until brown.
  4. Take out the ribs and place aside.
  5. Add onions, garlic cloves, and bourbon in the pot and mix well.
  6. Add in cayenne pepper, paprika, balsamic vinegar, sugar and stir well.
  7. Place short ribs and add thyme, garlic, a pinch of salt on top.
  8. Add the stock and close the lid of the instant pot.
  9. Cook on high pressure for 45 minutes.
  10. When cooking time is complete, wait for a natural pressure release.
  11. Take out the ribs and Press "saute".
  12. In a small bowl and mix cornstarch with water and add it in the broth.
  13. Mix well and let broth simmer till it’s a bit thick.
  14. Serve and enjoy
