German Pancakes

German Pancakes, also called Dutch Babies, are a delicious and simple breakfast dish that puffs up beautifully in the oven. With just a handful of basic ingredients like eggs, milk, flour, and butter, you can create a golden, fluffy pancake with crispy edges and a custard-like center.

Ingredients :

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar fresh fruit, syrup, or lemon juice

Directions :

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 9x13-inch baking dish in the oven to heat.
  2. In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, and sugar. Blend until smooth and airy.
  3. Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven and add butter, swirling it to coat the bottom and sides.
  4. Pour the batter into the hot dish and immediately return it to the oven.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
