
German Pancakes
German Pancakes, also called Dutch Babies, are a delicious and simple breakfast dish that puffs up beautifully in the oven. With just a handful of basic ingredients like eggs, milk, flour, and butter, you can create a golden, fluffy pancake with crispy edges and a custard-like center.
Ingredients :
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 4 tablespoon butter
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar fresh fruit, syrup, or lemon juice
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a 9x13-inch baking dish in the oven to heat.
- In a blender, combine eggs, milk, flour, and sugar. Blend until smooth and airy.
- Carefully remove the hot baking dish from the oven and add butter, swirling it to coat the bottom and sides.
- Pour the batter into the hot dish and immediately return it to the oven.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
