Crepe Rolls
When it comes to sweet breakfast ideas, nothing hits the spot quite like these delicious crepe rolls. A thin, tender chocolate crepe, stuffed with fluffy whipped cream and crunchy cookie pieces is exactly the answer to your breakfast or dessert needs.
Ingredients :
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cookies crushed
Directions :
- Add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and milk to a bowl and whisk to combine.
- Add cooking spray to a skillet or frying pan and heat over medium heat. Pour a thin layer of the batter into the hot pan, rolling it around so that the bottom of the pan becomes evenly coated.
- Beat the whipping cream until it's whipped.
- Place your cookies in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin or meat mallet to crush the cookies into bite-sized pieces.
- To build your rolls, lay 2 crepes out, overlapping slightly, to create the base. Spread the whipped cream on top, followed by a layer of cookie crumbs.
- Starting at the edge closest to you, tightly roll the crepe away from you. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Slice the roll into 2-inch thick pieces.
- Serve your homemade crepe rolls while still cold, and enjoy!
