
Country Fried Steak
Country fried chicken steak is a beloved Southern dish that's crispy, flavorful, and comforting. It features tender chicken breasts coated in a seasoned flour mixture, then fried to golden perfection.
Ingredients :
- 4 chicken breasts pounded thin
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions :
- In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- In another shallow dish, mix beaten eggs and buttermilk.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the chicken in batches, 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
