Country Fried Steak

Country fried chicken steak is a beloved Southern dish that's crispy, flavorful, and comforting. It features tender chicken breasts coated in a seasoned flour mixture, then fried to golden perfection.

Ingredients :

  • 4 chicken breasts pounded thin
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions :

  1. In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In another shallow dish, mix beaten eggs and buttermilk.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture, pressing firmly to coat.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the chicken in batches, 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
