Chocolate Croissants

Chocolate croissants are soft, flaky, and filled with sweet, melted chocolate. They are perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert. You don’t need to be a baker to make them at home—this recipe is simple and uses ready-made puff pastry. All you have to do is fill, roll, and bake.

Ingredients :

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chocolate bar pieces
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon butter optional
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or powdered sugar optional

Directions :

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 triangles.
  3. Place a few chocolate chips or a piece of chocolate at the wide end of each triangle.
  4. Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form a croissant shape.
  5. Place on the baking sheet and chill for 10 minutes.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly and enjoy warm.
