
Chocolate Croissants
Chocolate croissants are soft, flaky, and filled with sweet, melted chocolate. They are perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert. You don’t need to be a baker to make them at home—this recipe is simple and uses ready-made puff pastry. All you have to do is fill, roll, and bake.
Ingredients :
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chocolate bar pieces
- 1 egg for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon butter optional
- 1 tablespoon sugar or powdered sugar optional
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 triangles.
- Place a few chocolate chips or a piece of chocolate at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form a croissant shape.
- Place on the baking sheet and chill for 10 minutes.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly and enjoy warm.
