Chicken Saltimbocca

Chicken Saltimbocca is a classic Italian dish that combines tender chicken, savory prosciutto, and aromatic sage, all cooked in a rich white wine sauce. This recipe is quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients :

  • 4 chicken breasts pounded thin
  • 8 slices prosciutto
  • 8 fresh sage leaves
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • ½ cup white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions :

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Place 2 sage leaves on each chicken breast and wrap each with 2 slices of prosciutto. Secure with toothpicks.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
  5. Add the white wine to the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is slightly reduced.
