
Chicken Saltimbocca
Chicken Saltimbocca is a classic Italian dish that combines tender chicken, savory prosciutto, and aromatic sage, all cooked in a rich white wine sauce. This recipe is quick and easy to prepare, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients :
- 4 chicken breasts pounded thin
- 8 slices prosciutto
- 8 fresh sage leaves
- 2 tablespoon butter
- ½ cup white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions :
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Place 2 sage leaves on each chicken breast and wrap each with 2 slices of prosciutto. Secure with toothpicks.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
- Add the white wine to the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce is slightly reduced.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve immediately.
