Cheese Danish is a simple and delicious pastry that's perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet treat. The buttery, flaky puff pastry is filled with a creamy, sweetened cream cheese filling, offering a wonderful balance of textures and flavors. It’s easy to make, using just a few simple ingredients like puff pastry, cream cheese, and sugar.

Ingredients :

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg for egg wash

Directions :

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the filling – In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Prepare the puff pastry – Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into squares or rectangles.
  4. Fill the pastry – Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
  5. Fold and seal – Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal. Brush the top with an egg wash.
  6. Bake – Place the pastries on a baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Serve – Let the Danish cool for a few minutes before serving.
