
Cheese Croissants
Cheese croissants are a soft, flaky, and cheesy treat that is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even as a light meal. They are made by filling buttery puff pastry with melty cheese and baking until golden brown. This recipe is very simple and needs only a few ingredients.
Ingredients :
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- ½ cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or cream cheese
- 1 egg for egg wash
- 1 tablespoon melted butter optional
- Salt & pepper to taste
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 8 triangles.
- Place a small amount of cheese on the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form a croissant shape.
- Place the croissants on the baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and melted butter.
- Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
- Let cool slightly and serve warm.
