Cedar Plank Salmon
Cedar plank salmon is a delicious and unique way to prepare salmon, infusing it with a smoky, woodsy flavor that’s hard to resist. The cedar plank acts as a natural cooking surface, keeping the fish moist while adding a subtle, earthy aroma.
Ingredients :
- 4 salmon fillets about 6 oz each, skin-on
- 1 cedar plank soaked for 1 hour
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: lemon wedges and fresh dill for garnish
Directions :
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 350°F/175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create a glaze.
- Place the salmon fillets on the soaked cedar plank, skin-side down. Brush the glaze generously over the fillets.
- Place the cedar plank directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Carefully remove the cedar plank from the grill. Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh dill, if desired.
