Blackened Shrimp
Blackened Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish that brings a touch of Cajun flair to your dining table. Using just a handful of ingredients, this recipe transforms simple shrimp into a bold and spicy meal that’s sure to impress.
Ingredients :
- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- Lemon wedges for serving
Directions :
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, thyme, oregano, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss the shrimp with the spice mixture until evenly coated.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet over high heat until hot and foaming. Add the shrimp in a single layer.
- Cook the shrimp for about 2 minutes on each side or until they are opaque and the seasoning has formed a dark crust.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
