Blackened Chicken

Blackened chicken is a mouthwatering dish that brings a little Cajun flair right to your dinner table. This recipe features chicken breasts coated in a bold and spicy seasoning mix, then cooked in a hot skillet to achieve that iconic charred exterior.

Ingredients :

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless and skinless
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions :

  1. In a small bowl, mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, thyme, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and rub the spice mixture all over them.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken breasts. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the outside is blackened and the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
