Biscuit sand Gravy Casserole
Biscuits and gravy casserole is a hearty, comforting breakfast dish that combines fluffy biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, and melted cheese in one easy-to-make meal. It takes the classic Southern biscuits and gravy and transforms it into a baked casserole that’s perfect for feeding a crowd.
Ingredients :
- 1 can 8-count refrigerated biscuits
- 1 lb sausage
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
Directions :
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir until coated.
- Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Cut biscuits into quarters and place half in the bottom of the baking dish.
- Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits, then layer the remaining biscuits on top.
- Sprinkle cheese over the top if using.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
