Biscuit sand Gravy Casserole

Biscuits and gravy casserole is a hearty, comforting breakfast dish that combines fluffy biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, and melted cheese in one easy-to-make meal. It takes the classic Southern biscuits and gravy and transforms it into a baked casserole that’s perfect for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients :

  • 1 can 8-count refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional

Directions :

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir until coated.
  4. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until the gravy thickens. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Cut biscuits into quarters and place half in the bottom of the baking dish.
  6. Pour the sausage gravy over the biscuits, then layer the remaining biscuits on top.
  7. Sprinkle cheese over the top if using.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
