
Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients :
- 1 pounds beef sirloin sliced into thin strips
- 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 1 cup sour cream
- 12 ounces egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour to thicken, if needed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or dill for garnish
Directions :
- In a large skillet, heat butter or oil over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms. Sauté until onions are translucent and mushrooms release their juices.
- If the sauce is too thin, sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir to combine.
- Return beef to the skillet. Add beef broth, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- While beef is simmering, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
- Reduce skillet heat to low, stir in sour cream until well combined. Heat through but do not boil.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh herbs.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
