Beef Stroganoff

Savor a classic Beef Stroganoff recipe, blending tender beef with creamy sauce, served best over noodles. Perfect comfort food for any occasion in just 35 minutes!

Ingredients :

  • 1 pounds beef sirloin sliced into thin strips
  • 8 ounces mushrooms sliced
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour to thicken, if needed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or dill for garnish

Directions :

  1. In a large skillet, heat butter or oil over medium-high heat. Add beef strips and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onions and mushrooms. Sauté until onions are translucent and mushrooms release their juices.
  3. If the sauce is too thin, sprinkle flour over the veggies and stir to combine.
  4. Return beef to the skillet. Add beef broth, and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. While beef is simmering, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  6. Reduce skillet heat to low, stir in sour cream until well combined. Heat through but do not boil.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh herbs.
  8. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
