Beef Chili

Make a delicious, hearty beef and red beans chili with this simple recipe. Perfect for weeknights, and it tastes even better the next day!

Ingredients :

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can red kidney beans drained
  • 1 16-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

Directions :

  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Brown the beef, breaking it up as it cooks.
  2. Remove excess fat if desired, then add the diced onion. Cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the chili powder and stir to combine.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce and the drained red kidney beans.
  5. Lower the heat and let the chili simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, or more chili powder as needed.
