Try this simple and delicious banh cuon recipe, perfect for a light meal or snack. Enjoy delicate rice flour rolls filled with savory ingredients and fresh herbs.

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ pound ground pork
  • ½ cup chopped wood ear mushrooms
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for pan

Directions :

  1. In a bowl, mix rice flour and water to create a thin batter. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine ground pork, mushrooms, onion, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and brush with cooking oil.
  4. Pour a small amount of batter into the pan, swirling to create a thin layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes until set.
  5. Add a spoonful of filling onto the cooked rice flour sheet, then gently roll it up.
  6. Transfer the roll to a plate and cover with a damp cloth. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.
