Alice Springs Chicken

Alice Springs Chicken is a flavorful dish made with juicy chicken breasts, crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and melted cheese, all topped with a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce. It’s inspired by the popular dish from Outback Steakhouse and is easy to make at home.

Ingredients :

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions :

  1. Make sauce – Mix honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside half for serving.
  2. Marinate chicken – Place chicken in a dish and pour half of the sauce over it. Marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Cook chicken – Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and cook 5–6 minutes per side until done.
  4. Add toppings – Place cooked chicken in a baking dish. Top with mushrooms, bacon, and cheese.
  5. Melt cheese – Bake or cover with foil and cook over low heat until cheese melts (about 5 minutes).
  6. Serve – Drizzle with reserved sauce and enjoy.
