
Alice Springs Chicken
Alice Springs Chicken is a flavorful dish made with juicy chicken breasts, crispy bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and melted cheese, all topped with a sweet and tangy honey mustard sauce. It’s inspired by the popular dish from Outback Steakhouse and is easy to make at home.
Ingredients :
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions :
- Make sauce – Mix honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside half for serving.
- Marinate chicken – Place chicken in a dish and pour half of the sauce over it. Marinate for 30 minutes.
- Cook chicken – Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade and cook 5–6 minutes per side until done.
- Add toppings – Place cooked chicken in a baking dish. Top with mushrooms, bacon, and cheese.
- Melt cheese – Bake or cover with foil and cook over low heat until cheese melts (about 5 minutes).
- Serve – Drizzle with reserved sauce and enjoy.
