Ingredients :
- 1 pound chicken gizzards clean
- 4 cups water enough to cover
- 2 teaspoons salt to taste
- ¼ cup flour
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 2 eggs
Directions :
- Add chicken gizzards, fresh coriander, and salt to the water to cook over low heat for about 1 hour.
- When cooking time is complete, remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Add flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, onion powder, paprika, and garlic powder to a bowl. Mix until combined. Right before you are ready to use the flour mixture, add the fresh thyme.
- In another bowl, beat two eggs.
- First, dredge the chicken gizzards in the egg wash, then in the flour mix, and set aside. Then preheat your air fryer to 400F for 5 minutes.
- Place the chicken gizzards in the air fryer basket, evenly spaced to allow for even cooking. Then drizzle with some olive oil or coat with a non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 300F.
- Remove the chicken gizzards from the air fryer basket and serve with your favorite dips or sauces. Enjoy!
